India's former Test Captain; ace leg spinner is the India's highest Wicket taker. (619 wickets in 132 tests). He became the highest wicket-taker for India, suroassing the previous record (434 wickets in 131 tests) set by the former Indian Skipper Kapil Dev.

Anili kumble is also the first Indian and ninth bowler in the world to take 10 wickets in a match six or more times.
