INDIA - MALAYSIA sign six pacts.


Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and his Malaysian counterpart, Md. Najib have agedd on behalf oof their nations to liberalise their investment regimes. And also they have signed MoU on cooperation in traditional system of medicine.They have decided to implement the Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement (CECA) from July 1,2011. Earlier Indian-Asean Trade in Goods (TiG) agreement was implemented from january 1,2010.

October -20 is the WORLD Statistics Day.

Little India comes into being in Malaysia.



Nearly every country has a Chinatown that accommodates the traditions and cultures of the Chinese who migrated several centuries ago. As in the same lines the Malaysian government has decided to dedicate the are of Brickfields, one of the oldest Indian settlements in the country, as 'Little India', where the Indians lives and ambitions are showcased.
Indians dominate "Little India", but the two major communities - the Malays and the Chinese - also share space with them. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh declared open this "Little India" at Malaysia.

World Day against Death Penalty.




October-10 = World day against the Death penalty.Britain is working towards a global moratorium on execution by 2015. As for India, a declaration of a moratorium would be a realistic next step after the Supreme Court's landmark ruling in 1980 that a death sentence can be given only if the alternative of a life sentence is unquestionably foreclosed. Vigorous steps need to be taken to lay out a global consensus on the elimination of the death penalty from the statute books of nations.
