JHUMPA LAHIRI appointed to OBAMA arts Committee.

Indian-American Pulitzer Prize-Winning author Jhumpa Lahiri has been appointed a member of U.S. PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA's Committee on the Arts and Humanities, along with five others.

Ms. Lahiri's debut collection of stories, Intrepreter of Maladies, received the Pulitzer Prize , the PEN/Heming way award. THE NAMESAKE is her another novel. Lahiri's latest collection of Short Stories is titled UNACCUSTOMED EARTH.
